Jon and Beka

Missions Abroad

Hello! We are Jon and Beka and we live in North Africa. Jon has a full-time teaching position and is busy at the university. This opportunity has afforded us great standing in our country and has opened the door to so many relationships. Beka is building relationships with neighbors and friends. She was providing counseling, however, with the birth of our third child she is transitioning to full-time motherhood. Soren attends a local preschool where he is making friends and learning a new language – he will begin homeschooling full-time next year. Our daughter Ruby is one and is a delight to our family! Our most recent daughter, Cosette, was just born a few months ago! We are excited for the opportunities God has laid before us and we are thankful to have our City Reformed family behind us.

Prayer Requests
1. Praise God that in the midst of their busy and sometimes chaotic transition to a family of 5, God is using the “peace” of their home life to bless others. Recently a neighbor (older woman) approached Beka and asked to come over to visit because she observed Beka’s good care of her three little ones. During this visit the neighbor confided a difficult home situation. Pray for this new relationship to grow and for their home to continue to be a place of peace for others.
2. Pray for some skin issues Ruby is having – it has been difficult getting a diagnosis and also medicine.
3. Continue to pray for the right car at the right price. They would like to raise $4000 in addition to what they have already saved.
4. Pray for a potential visit this summer – for the logistics and an opportunity to visit with our church.
