The Jones Family

Craig and Mell Jones (and their sons Brett and Dean) are all native born Zimbabweans. Craig is an ordained pastor and began his ministry in 2000 teaching at the Theological College of Zimbabwe. In 2024, Craig moved into full time ministry training leaders of the growing Zimbabwe Presbytery as well as assisting in preaching responsibilities. Mell does volunteer work with “Our Neighborhood Ministries” Babies Home, leads bible studies and helps to coordinate mission trips when visitors come from overseas. They both attend City Presbyterian church in Bulawayo where Craig serves as an elder.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for good rain in strategic areas to fill supply water sources

 2. Pray for the nation of Zimbabwe and its people and that they would seek the Lord in a very dark time and for spiritual revival.

 3. Pray for energy for the Jones family, as they seek to love family (both blood and church).

 4. Pray for Brett his new wife (5/2025) Jesse. Brett is studying law at the U of Fl and Jesse works as a nurse. Pray that their marriage would grow strong amidst the many changes and that they would trust in the Lord.

 6. Pray for wisdom and peace for Dean as he is works as a barista, managing a local coffee shop.  Future college plans are on hold at this time. Pray for spiritual growth and direction for his future.

7. Pray that Craig would be able to balance his preaching, teaching and training responsibilities and for Mell as she balances her many involvements.

8. Please pray for the Lord’s provision – especially in their local church and the very poor and vulnerable people in their nation. They continue to watch their nation slip into hard economic decline.
