This Spring, City Reformed is holding a reading program through the Gospel of Matthew. We will have a daily reading plan, along with devotionals posted each day on the website. In addition, our sermon series and our adult Christian education will be exploring themes in the Gospel of Matthew.
This will be our second year studying a gospel; last year we studied the Gospel of John. With this experience in mind, we will be able to explore the similarities and differences between the two gospels. Matthew offers an important perspective on Jesus and is distinct from the portrait provided by John. Both are faithful representations of Jesus of Nazareth, but the richness of his character demands multiple frames of reference to appreciate.
We will begin Sunday February 1st, and wrap up with a week of reflections the week after Easter. We are also offering children’s and youth ministry resources, as well as a playlist to go with the reading program. More details found on the home page.
Here is the daily schedule.
